9IFX approached me to help out with the digital effects on this music video for local artist Phé. The director wanted to show her digital life bleeding into reality, so we had the idea to use datamosh and pixel sorting techniques to give that effect. I also handled all the screen animations, which were meant to look familiar, like Instagram or Apple Messages, but to not be branded. We also wanted to make it look like shots of an actual phone, but with little surreal touches to again suggest the merging of real and digital life.
